Hey Now This is Somethin' I Just Thought Of...

Pittsburgh is 5-3, in first place in the Big East, having beaten one team in the top 59 of the Sagarin Ratings. Its only victories over BCS conference schools are the three it has in the Big East. It could conceivably lose a couple of more times and still represent the conference in the Fiesta Bowl. Meanwhile, TCU, 10-0 and No. 3 in the BCS standings, can't afford to lose once or risk falling all the way to the Las Vegas Bowl. Ah Yes, BCS membership has its privileges...

So its not even Thanksgiving yet, and the Hurricanes season is flushed down the toilet. Kind of a trend I've noticed unfortunately under coach Randy Shannon. First it was a bummer loss at Ohio State where Jacory Harris managed to throw four picks. Then an embarrasing blowout loss against Florida State on ESPN where the 'Canes looked downright disinterested, another trend. Finally (or maybe not the last loss) a squeaker against a Virginia club we should handle on our worst days. Granted, Harris was hurt badly and had to leave the game, but still another disappointing effort all-around. At this point I really do think it's time for a change at Coral Gables and since a new A.D is unlikely, it seems like a coaching change is in order. Far too often under Randy Shannons watch, the Hurricanes look unprepared, uninspired and he himself often looks flat out confused on the sidelines. For a program that wrote the book on swagger, bragadocia, and downright winning in the late 80's and early 90's; Miami looks like a program forgotten. And that's not right. College football needs Miami. They need the smoke, the chest bumping, and the south Florida trophy-winning. It's time for a change once again.

Damn, I forgot about this again lol...

Yeah so this is my blog again lol. I haven't updated this or wrote anything in over a year. Man how time flies. Maybe this time I'll branch out and not write about only college football...Okay maybe some things DON'T change...

Gator Great...

Well it's all over. All the bullshit that comes along with a college football season is done.

Florida thumped OK by ten and in all likelyhood will be 1 in AP Poll as well (much to my dismay)But what's even MORE impressive is Bob Stoops' shitty record now in BCS bowls. I mean he puts together these impressive teams that stomp their Big 12 competition (or Don't in this years case with Texas) and then go to a big time game and lay an egg. I mean don't even MENTION Boise State near Oklahoma or you'll be shot.

So what's next you ask?; what's next for Tebow, the NFL Draft or another year of college ball? What's next for Stoops as he tries to actually WIN something meaningful. And what's next for teams like Utah and USC that came up a hair short?

Spring ball starts in just a few months...See you there.

HaHa! Man, that's the good stuff.

So Ohio State goes to another BCS game and comes away with yet another loss. This time at least it was competitive. As I laid in bed and watched a last gasp drive by the Longhorns I couldn't help but think about the Big Ten honks talking about how the Big Ten isn't all that bad, and how they need to get respect and bla bla bla.

And then with sixteen seconds left that all went out the window, and Colt McCoy put the universe back in order.

In the NCGame it's Big 12/SEC and it seems as if that's the way it SHOULD be. Ohio State and Penn State (with their gang-bang loss in the Rose Bowl) has just cemented what we already knew...The Big Ten (Eleven) are simply now second-class citizens.

Oh, and as a Miami fan it's ALWAYS nice to see Ohio State take one in the ass. ;-)

And So It All Comes To This

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

By about 11:30 PM on January 8th, we'll know who will be the BCS National Champion. All the debate, yelling, and even killing will be all over. The season will have come to a climactic finish!

Not so fast my friend.

Although Oklahoma and Florida are gonna duke it out for the Waterford Crystal and the Coaches' Poll some pundits think TEXAS has a chance and stealing away the Associated Press' Title. (which is still QUITE relevant thank you, since all this is make-believe anyway)

IF Texas gangbangs Ohio State the way most people outside of the Buckeye state thing they will, and OK struggles with Tebow and Florida theres a groundswell of support for Texas to take the National Title as far as the A.P goes and thus give us another SPLIT National Title, the one thing the Big Cheater System was designed to avoid.

To say that I'm rooting for the trainwreck is an understatement, considering UT took out OK head to head (which doesn't seem to matter anymore?) Anything that can put the BCS in the grave is okay with me...

Unfreaking Believable...

I don't know about you all, but as I watched the Sugar Bowl I was completely blown -away by how flat, uninspired and disinterested Alabama looked. I can understand them being bummed out about losing SEC title game, but give me a fuckin' break. There was 0 reason for them to even be in a dogfight with Utah, let-alone LOSE!

I'm not taking much away from Utah, but Alabama lost that game more than Utah lost it. I'm not sold on these 'BCS Buster's just yet. Since they've yet to show me something consistently..
