Not So Fast My Friend...

So the Detroit Tigers are World Series bound. Who would have thought that a team that a few years ago being the laughing-stock of baseball would be in the Fall Classic. It's a wonderful story don't get me wrong, but I have one HUGE problem with it all.

Being a New York sports fan stuck living in Detroit isn't so bad. Well, it is but I have a high tolerance for nonsense. And my latest bit of nonsense I've noticed is with Detroit sports fans. Honestly, the only good sports fan in this town is a Lions fan. I say this because a Lions fan is there when they're 5-11 or 11-5, no matter what.

But since I've lived here and seen the resurgence of the Wings, Pistons and finally Tigers; it seems as if that loyalty is reserved only for the Lions. And of course the Universities but thats a different discussion.

Its so damn funny how a couple years back you couldn't give away Tigers tickets, unless of course the Yankees were in town. Now everyone and their brother is trying to hop on the bandwagon before it passes them by.

Tigers fans should look at how its REALLY done around the nation, and be there through the thin AND thick, like Lions fans. Thankfully this nonsense will all be over, very soon...
